WW: I Do Believe in Fairies

A Few Words...

This sweet Fairy Party was put on by my friend Sarah for her gorgeous four-year-old daughter. Scrag was one of the only boys in attendance, and decided to go as "Peter Pan". As you can see he admired himself a lot.

The party was planned for outdoors, with visions of tulle, ribbons and balloons hanging from tree branches... but the weather had other ideas, so Sarah transformed her living room into a magical fairy glade with mosquito nets and streamers.

The toadstool mats are still going strong from Miss Fab's Fairy party, and came in handy for musical cushions and pass the parcel.

I loved Sarah's clever idea of doubling up sellotape and sticking balloons to the underside of door frames and  ceiling, with ribbons dangling down - they looked like helium balloons that had floated up, but so much cheaper!

I was in girlie fairy heaven snapping these sweet creatures in their wings and tutus.

I have updated my original Fairy Party post and now have beautiful flower fairy printables available to download, along with two versions of a printable fairy party invitation and downloadable game ideas. There are also instructions for creating the toadstool mats, flower wreaths and the toadstool cake {which I helped Sarah re-create for this party - recognise that little fairy?}

Four is the perfect age for a fairy party. Sigh.

  4. Wonderful party and beautiful little fairies. Love the blurry shots at the beginning. Makes it look dreamlike. The face painting was really nice too, as was the cake.
    Hope you can stop by and share.
