This recipe is my version of traditional Sangria. It's very delicious and I always get major compliments when I serve this up at a party or BBQ...
I also make a kids version so the sproggies don't feel left out...

Sangria for Grown Ups
In a glass Jug put...
- 1 sliced up lemon
- 1 sliced up orange
- a handful of frozen berries
- a dessertspoon of sugar
- a splash of Rum (or Malibu)
Then pour in some Ginger Ale until the fruit is just covered.

Add a bottle of cheap red wine (or up to half the jug) then top up with soda water.
Serve outside on a balmy summers evening to some good friends...
(or have a Spanish Theme dinner)Sangria for Kids
In a colourful jug put:
- 2 handfuls of frozen berries
- 1 cup of lemonade
- then top with sparkling pink grape juice...

Yum, love the stuff - trouble is it goes down so easily....
Thanks for playing along. I can always count on your for fun ideas. This sounds yummy. Never heard of it.
I keep hearing about Sangria but have never tried it. I definitely will! And thanks for the 'kid friendly' version. I have two
little girls who would love to try out a 'fancy' drink. You just gave us something to do this saturday. (Bless you!)
Visiting from Mama Kat's. Great post!
Wow, that sounds good! Can I come to one of your BBQ's? ;)
I LOVE Sangria. Love love love. And this sounds great!
One of my very favourites. Sadly, I had not thought of making a sprog version. Think I'll do this for a baby shower that I'm throwing.
Gonna try the sangria for kids this weekend, thanks! They love drinking anything that looks "grown up."
I haven't had a taste for any sort of alcohol after my first was born, but would LOVE to try the sangria for kids!!! It sounds delish and fool proof. :)
