Best in Blog Linky (and a Book Winner)

What better way to start a Monday than with something for free?
I promised that Mrs Readalot would be handing out a free book to somebody who jumped through some of her hoops, and today is the day when you get to find out Who.
So last night Mrs Readalot wrote out all the names of all the people who left her a comment on this post; then she added in all the people who had linked up to the last two Book Club linkies. Then (being very technical) she scrunched up the names in a bowl, closed her eyes and picked out a name...

Amy from Mahlimoo!

Congratulations Amy, you have won the book of your choice from Mrs Readalot. Please email me as soon as possible with your Book Choice and contact details, and Mrs R will order it for you from Book Depository forthwith!

Right, now back to Best in Blog and my doings from last week....
Ahhh, so it's Monday again, another week older, another week wiser. I've been learning how to juggle this week. Not actual plates and balls of course, but Things To Do. I've been practising the "no" word and learning to prioritise.

It has helped having a new "To Do" book. I am hopeless with diaries and planners, but a To Do book seems to be doing the trick. It's cute and lime green and has pages of lines with tick boxes. I can write stuff in and tick it off when its done. It is really helping, especially on those awful nights when I'm lying awake at 2am with racing thoughts. I just reach over, write it all down in my New Paper Brain, then pick up a book and read til my eyes droop.

[fun and adventure, strange food and dear friends await us in China]

I am counting down the days now until me and Miss Fab get on the plane to China, to visit our buddies Gail and Miss Marvellous. I've finally got that essential Chinese Visa in my Passport (crossed that one off my To Do List) so now we can really get excited and start planning what to pack. Wahoo!

As a blogger and photomaniac you can be sure I will be recording and sharing our adventures, but whether I get the chance to blog whilst in China is another story. I am thinking I will be way too busy having fun, drinking coffee with Gail, shopping, walking and talking, exploring and munching on fried bugs to stop and blog.
But I hate the thought of my blog lying dormant, so I am considering what to do while I am adventuring...
Here are my options:
  • A couple of guest posts from some groovy writers (one per week)?
  • Re-post some earlier favourites that new readers won't have seen?
  • Spend the next two weeks madly writing new posts to schedule?
  • A mix of the above OR
  • Let the blog lie blank and dormant for two weeks...?
What do you think, lovely readers? I'd love to read your thoughts on the matter...

[Miss Fab and Miss Marvellous - soon to be reunited in CHINA]

The Best of You from the Past Two Weeks
  • I loved this short-but-sweet post from Miriam at Make it Give it featuring my favourite Kiwi Comedy Duo, Flight of the Conchords in "Business Time"
  • I was stoked to read that Carly from Happy Little Kiwi is bucking the trend and returning to NZ from Australia (welcome back to NZ Carly - I hope we get to meet up!)
  • I loved Sophie from Little Gumnut's dramatic story about  "Peace in the Storm" - her daughter's ambulance adventure. Being a true blogger she even managed to get some pics (it was a happy ending)

How to join in with my "Best in Blog" linky.
The "Best in Blog" Linky opens at 7am every Monday (NZ time*) and closes midnight Friday.
You don't have to write a special post, or take a photo on a theme or anything that requires extra work...
All you have to do is pick your favourite post from the past week (the one you are most proud of) and share it with us. I will feature my favourites on next week's Best in Blog.

Just one thing you need to do before you link up... Can you please dress your post with this (brand new)  pretty button I've made so your readers can find our linky too?

Best in Blog Linky

Thankyou kindly!

(Oh, and please leave us a comment telling us why you picked this one... even if it was because it was your only one, hahaha!)

*For some of you US readers, that will be sometime on Sunday!
